Matthew Jenkins, ASA, MAAA, currently serves as an Assistant Actuary at National Life Group, having progressed through roles as Actuarial Analyst II and Actuarial Analyst I since July 2020. Prior experience includes a Corporate Actuarial Internship at National Life Group, where Matthew developed Excel Visual Basic macros to automate financial reports, and two Summer Research Fellowships at Trinity University, focusing on black hole characteristics and the analysis of optical samples related to LIGO. Additionally, Matthew was a Fulbright Intern, mentoring German Fulbright Scholars, and an Operations Intern at National Life Group, where Matthew enhanced operational workflows. Academic credentials include a Masters of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Trinity University.
