Bekriah Mawasi currently serves as the Arabic, Persian, and Ottoman Catalogue Team Leader at the National Library of Israel since June 2021. With a self-employed career as a translator since 2008, Bekriah specializes in oral and written translation and editing in Arabic-English-Arabic and Arabic-Hebrew-Arabic. Prior experience includes roles as Project Coordinator & Strategist for Wikimedia IL's Arabic education program from November 2017 to June 2021, where Bekriah managed educational initiatives and content development. From 2014 to 2017, Bekriah worked at Melingo Ltd. as an NLP Linguist and QA Tester, focusing on content creation and strategy for language education. An Arabic Linguist for Google in 2012, Bekriah contributed to improving Arabic translation processes. Educational background includes high school studies in Physics and Electronics at Orthodox Arab College in Haifa and attendance at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
