Robert Blaine is a seasoned professional in education and administration, currently serving as Senior Executive and Director of the Institute for Youth, Education, and Families at the National League of Cities since February 2021. Prior to this role, Robert held significant positions at Jackson State University, including Professor of Music, Dean of Undergraduate Studies and CyberLearning, and Special Assistant to the Provost for CyberLearning from 2004 to 2022. Additionally, Robert was Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Jackson from July 2017 to July 2022 and served as Associate Provost at Tougaloo College from July 2016 to June 2017. Robert holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.
