Serena Lipton has a diverse work experience in the real estate and senior housing industries. Serena currently holds the position of Programming Curation Manager at the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) since October 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Contributor for Next Avenue, a national journalism service for the 50+ population, which is part of the PBS system. Serena's experience also includes working as an Associate in Healthcare at Artemis Real Estate Partners, where they focused on healthcare asset management and acquisitions with a senior housing focus. Before that, they were an Analyst in Seniors Housing Valuation Advisory at JLL, where they provided market research and financial analysis for various types of senior living properties. Serena also has experience in property valuation and advisory services, having worked in a similar role at CBRE. In addition to their real estate and senior housing experience, Serena has a background in academia, having served as a Teaching Assistant at Boston University and as a member of the TAMID Investment Fund and Consulting Team. Serena Lipton, MMH, has a diverse education history in the field of hospitality administration. Serena earned a Master's of Management in Hospitality (MMH) with a senior living concentration from Boston University's School of Hospitality Administration. This program took place from 2021 to 2023. Prior to their master's degree, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Hospitality Administration from Boston University, graduating in 2018.
During their undergraduate years, Serena also had the opportunity to study abroad. In 2017, they attended Florence University of the Arts, where they focused on Hospitality Administration/Management. In 2015, they studied Art History at The American University of Rome.
Before their college education, Serena completed their high school studies at Gann Academy, where they earned a High School Diploma with a dual curriculum in Hebrew and English studies. Serena has also pursued additional certifications related to their field. Serena has also obtained Real Estate Valuation Licenses from various institutions, including the State of Connecticut in 2021, the New York State Department of State in 2020, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2020. Lastly, they hold a Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which they acquired in 2014.
