Dean Hamer is an experienced director currently holding leadership roles at Qwaves, Kanaka Pakipika, and the Kapaemahu Project since January 2010. In addition, Dean serves as a scientist emeritus at the National Institutes of Health since January 2011 and was a director for Kanaka Pakipika, Qwaves, and the Kapaemahu Project until June 2022. Dean previously held the position of Chief of Gene Structure & Regulation at the National Institutes of Health from 1977 to 2011. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard Medical School, attained in 1977, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Trinity College-Hartford, completed in 1972.
