Anouk Waeytens is an experienced advisor currently serving at the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health since November 2020. Anouk has been with the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) since October 2011, where roles include advisor - senior expert pharmaceuticals and project manager for "Personalized Medicine." Anouk is recognized for expertise in stratified and personalized medicine and has held leadership positions such as president of the Working Group 'Medical Nutrition' and the Platform 'Companion Diagnostics.' Additionally, Anouk is a board member and part of the Executive Committee for the International Horizon Scanning Initiative since July 2019. Anouk's academic background includes a PhD in Medical Sciences and a Master's in Bioengineering from Ghent University, alongside prior roles as a lecturer at Hogeschool Gent, a fellow at UZ Gent, and assistant academic staff at Ghent University.
