Ambuj Gupta is a Senior Market Development Analyst at the National Energy System Operator since October 2023, focusing on reforming ancillary service products, particularly frequency response. Concurrently, Ambuj serves as a PhD Researcher at Imperial College London, analyzing and proposing new services for a reliable electricity grid with high renewable energy penetration in collaboration with the Global Power System Transformation consortium and the Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-free Society Center. Previous experience includes roles as an Electricity Markets Modeller at Aurora Energy Research, where Ambuj led the development of power market models for MISO, and as a Power Systems Engineer at Siemens, responsible for energy market applications for CAISO. Ambuj's earlier experience includes leadership and mentorship positions at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and project development at ReNew Power. Ambuj holds an MTech in Power Systems from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from G.B.P.U.A&T, Pantnagar.
