Shannon Steinbauer is an experienced professional in public health and housing safety, currently serving as Audit Liaison Division Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since January 2017, with prior roles including Senior Program Advisor and Programs Division Director within the Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes. Steinbauer has a strong background in managing lead-based paint hazard control grant programs, focusing on best practices and lead poisoning prevention. Additional experience includes being an Ex-Officio Board Member for the National Environmental Education Foundation and roles in outreach and marketing, program analysis, and grant management at various levels of government. Steinbauer holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas Medical Center and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University.
