Krasimir Dimitrov is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Planning Directorate and Director of Electricity Generation and Operation at National Electricity Company EAD since October 2020. Their responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance and operation of hydroelectric power plants (HPP), pumped storage hydroelectric power plants (PSHPP), and dams while managing the company's investment program. Previously, Krasimir held various positions at CEZ Distribution Bulgaria AD from March 2012 to October 2020, including Head of Strategic Planning and Chief Engineer for substations, where Krasimir was involved in developing strategies for the electricity distribution network and conducting diagnostics of electrical equipment. Krasimir began their career as an intern at National Electricity Company EAD in 2009. Educationally, Krasimir holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Technical University of Sofia and is pursuing an MBA in Energy Management from Sabanci University, following a Bachelor's degree in Electricity and Electrical Equipment from Technical University of Sofia.
