Jackie Kerr is a Senior Research Fellow for Defense and Technology Futures at the National Defense University's Center for Security Research, focusing on digital technologies and national security. As a Nonresident Fellow with The Brookings Institution, involvement includes the Foreign Policy Program and the Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Initiative. At Georgetown University, Jackie serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching a course on Russia's cyberspace policies. Additionally, Jackie is a Mid-Career Cadre Member for the Project on Nuclear Issues at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a Research Affiliate at Stanford University's Center for International Security and Cooperation. Previous roles include a Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of State and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Educational credentials include a PhD and an MA in Political Science from Georgetown University, along with degrees from Stanford University in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, and Mathematics/Slavic Studies.
