Keri Christensen has extensive experience in healthcare and technology-related roles. Keri began their career as a Computer Based Patient Records Specialist at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. From there, they worked as an Application Analyst at Cerner Corporation and later became an Application Analyst Team Lead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
In 2008, they joined the American Medical Association as a Project Manager for the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement. During their time there, they oversaw measure development grant projects and led efforts to implement clinical performance measures in the Meaningful Use program.
Following their role at the American Medical Association, they served as the Owner and Lead Coach at Spire Coaching and Consulting. Keri provided coaching services for individuals and organizations in the healthcare industry.
In 2014, Keri joined Medical Home Network as a Consultant, where they advised leadership on health IT policy and programs at the national level. Keri also served as a Project Manager, developing initiatives to improve quality, operations, and patient outcomes.
In 2016, they joined the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Phyllis Torda Health Care Quality Fellow, focusing on social determinants of health and digital health research. Keri then became the Director of Research Innovation, overseeing innovative research projects and driving a culture of innovation. In 2020, they were promoted to the Director of Strategy Implementation.
Currently, Keri Christensen is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Health Administration and Policy at George Mason University.
Keri Christensen has a diverse education history. Keri recently attended the MIT Sloan School of Management where they focused on Artificial Intelligence for Business Strategy. Prior to that, they obtained a Certified Green Belt in Six Sigma from Villanova University in 2013. In 2008, they completed their Master of Science degree in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from Northwestern University. Keri also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Iowa. In 2011, Keri obtained a Professional Certification in Coaching from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Keri has additional certifications including being a Certified SAFe 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., a Six Sigma Black Belt and Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University, and a Fellow of HIMSS from HIMSS.
