Alejandra Monroy is an experienced professional with a strong background in community engagement and advocacy. Currently serving as the Prevention Program Manager at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children since June 2022, Monroy previously worked as a Bi-lingual Prevention Specialist at Safe Shores - The DC Children's Advocacy Center from April 2018 to July 2022. Prior roles include Bilingual Housing Counselor at the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN), where responsibilities included advocating for tenants and providing financial counseling, and Health Insurance Department Assistant at the Pan American Health Organization, managing health insurance cases and data analysis. Monroy began a career as a Security Analyst at Arcis International, focusing on political and security issues in Africa and Latin America. Monroy holds a Master of Science in Health and Public Interest from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
