Jill Savitt

President/Chief Executive Officer at National Center for Civil and Human Rights

Jill Savitt is currently the President and CEO of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, where they oversee exhibitions, trainings, and convenings on civil and human rights issues. Jill previously served as the Acting Director of the Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, where they focused on stimulating global action to prevent genocide. Jill also held the role of Human Rights Curator at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and founded and directed Dream for Darfur, an advocacy campaign addressing the Darfur crisis. Jill has extensive experience in communications and advocacy, including as Director of Public Programs at Human Rights First. Prior to that, they worked as a consultant to various NGOs and as a reporter for WAMU and The Miami Herald.

Jill Savitt completed their high school education at Miami Palmetto Senior High School from 1984 to 1986. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor's Degree at Yale University from 1986 to 1990. The field of study for both their high school and bachelor's degree is unknown.
