Nabjot Kaur, MPA, serves as the Environmental Health Program Manager at the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators since May 2024. Previously, Nabjot held the position of Legislative Director for District 24 at the New York City Council from April 2021 to May 2024, where responsibilities included policy development, legislative requests, and research on environmental issues. Nabjot's earlier experience at GrowNYC spanned several roles, including Manager of the Volunteer Program, where management of over 50 volunteers was key, and Coordinator of Zero Waste Programs, which saw a significant increase in volunteer participation and the establishment of fair employment initiatives for BIPOC colleagues. Additional roles at GrowNYC included Compost Coordinator and Greenmarket Manager, focusing on community engagement and effective environmental outreach. Nabjot holds both a Master of Public Administration in Sustainability Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Baruch College.
