Tamara P. serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards since October 2022. Prior to this role, Tamara worked at Eastern Virginia Medical School as the Director of Alumni Relations from April 2018 to October 2022, and held various positions related to alumni relations and communications at Tidewater Community College between October 2013 and April 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as the Public Relations & Outreach Manager at the Maryland Department of Transportation Office of Minority Business Enterprise, Business Development Coordinator at SB & Company, LLC, Senior Public Relations Coordinator at Hampton Roads Transit, and Assistant Director at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Norfolk. Tamara holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Strategic Public Relations from Old Dominion University, earned between 1997 and 2002.
