Pau Ramos

Investigador De Proyecto at National Astronomical Observatory of Japan

Pau Ramos currently serves as a project researcher at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, contributing to the JASMINE mission aimed at developing an innovative infrared astrophotometry satellite set to launch in 2028. Previous experience includes postdoctoral research at the Observatoire astronomique de Strasbourg, focusing on the dynamics of the Milky Way Galaxy, and a postdoctoral position under the Margarita Salas grant at the University of Barcelona, enhancing collaboration with NAOJ. Pau has also completed a PhD at the Institute of Cosmos Sciences, working on Gaia Data related to the Milky Way's kinematical substructure, as well as roles as an engineer in the technical department of FACTOR ENERGIA and various positions during earlier academic pursuits. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Astrophysics, Particle Physics and Cosmology from the Universitat de Barcelona and engineering degrees from 長岡技術科学大学 and the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona.
