Joel Douglas, P.E., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in intellectual property, startups, and education. Currently, Joel serves as Co-Founder of WizardIP, an AI-driven brand and IP protection platform. Joel also plays a significant role as a Mentor for the Element 46 Tech Accelerator and is a Co-Founder of Trademark Owl. As Board Member and Secretary at the National Association of Patent Practitioners (NAPP®) and U.S. Patent Agent at Menlo Park Patents, Joel contributes valuable expertise to the field. Previous positions include Patent Agent at Stanton IP Law Firm, Senior Consultant at Rimkus Consulting Group, Visiting Practitioner Instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University, and Visiting Lecturer at Trinity College-Hartford. Joel holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an MS in Computer Science from the University of New Haven.
