Joe Briggs has been a regional representative for the West Region at the National Association of Counties since 2014. Prior to that, they served as the president and a board member of the National Federation of Pachyderm Clubs from 1997 to 2014. Joe has also been involved with the National Conference of Republican County Officials, the Montana Association of Counties, the Montana Defense Alliance, Cascade County, Great Falls Development, and the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. From 1990 to 2011, Joe served as the district chairman and a member at large for the Montana Council of Boy Scouts. Joe was also on the executive committee for the Montana Republican Party from 1990 to 2008.

Joe Briggs attended Washington University in St. Louis and Great Falls High.
