David Fitzsimmons is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in both non-profit and trade association sectors. Currently serving as Sr. Vice President of Finance and Administration at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores since February 1996, David is responsible for overseeing accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, tax, and audit functions, while also managing Human Resources and Information Technology. Previously, David held the position of VP of Finance and Accounting at the same organization, where responsibilities included managing day-to-day accounting operations for a $30 million trade association and its associated entities. Earlier in David's career, the role of Controller at The Word Among Us, Inc. involved managing accounting operations for a publishing company and related non-profits, including managing audits and annual reporting. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Mount St. Mary's University.
