James B. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. James most recently served as the Director of Digital Experience at the National Apartment Association since 2022. Prior to that, James worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent at Smart Realty LLC in 2021.
From 2021 to 2022, James was the Marketing Technology Manager at SHRM. Before that, they worked as the Digital Marketing Manager at Graduate School USA for over five years, where they re-designed their website and initiated the first government-focused podcast.
In 2017, James joined the University of Maryland Baltimore County as a Marketing & Analytics Consultant. In this role, they analyzed and managed marketing effectiveness, redefined website personas, and managed marketing campaigns.
From 2015 to 2017, James served as a Contract Marketing Consultant at W.A.M. Strategies, where they utilized primary and secondary research to deliver deeper understanding of consumer target motivations for businesses in the northeast region.
Prior to that, James worked as the Director of Marketing at Stellar Management, where they supported the VP of Marketing in planning and executing paid media campaigns and introducing Adobe Marketing Cloud/CRM.
James gained experience in business partnership while establishing HITC Entertainment at CITIES2NIGHT LLC from 2010 to 2012, and they started their career as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Greystar in 2009, where they implemented direct response marketing strategies and achieved significant improvements in new leases and customer acquisition.
Lastly, James served as the Assistant Manager/Marketing Director at Boardwalk Entertainment Complex Inc. from 2007 to 2009, where they implemented marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and managed multiple intellectual properties in the food and entertainment industry.
James B. has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing, which they obtained from PennWest California from 2003 to 2007. James also attended Temple University in 2007 and 2008, where they studied Strategic Organizational Planning but did not obtain a degree. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained several certifications, including certifications in User Experience Design, Leading and Working in Teams, and People Manager Qualification. James has also completed various marketing-related certifications, such as Google Analytics Certification, Inbound Certification, and Google AdWords Certification. Most recently, they obtained certifications in Real Estate Investing and various LinkedIn courses on topics such as Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence.
