Summer Meyer is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in leadership and mentorship roles. Currently serving as the Alopecia Areata Support Group Leader for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, Summer organizes support group meetings in the Sacramento and San Francisco areas. As a Medical Student Tutor at UC Davis, Summer has supported international medical students in their academic journeys. With prior roles such as Dermatopathology Editorial Liaison for the Dermatology Online Journal and Graduate Research Fellow in the Department of Dermatology at UC Davis, Summer has conducted significant research and presented findings at numerous academic meetings. Additional experience includes co-directing the Shifa Community Clinic, where Summer facilitated multicultural healthcare access, and working in healthcare consulting and research during undergraduate studies at UCLA. Summer holds an MD from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA.
