Aleksa Šuković has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and research. Aleksa is currently working as a Research Assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems. Prior to this, they were a Research Intern at the same institute. Aleksa also worked as a Research Engineer at natif.ai, where they focused on research and engineering tasks.

In their previous roles, Aleksa worked as a Research Engineer at Densilia GmbH, where they oversaw the development of a digital platform for medical workflow automation and optimized and maintained ML algorithms for dental and surgical procedures. Aleksa also integrated the platform with hospital digital infrastructure standards.

Aleksa was also a Research Engineer at the Technical University of Munich, where they led the research and development of an AI surgical assistant and worked on AI segmentation and pathology detection in medical images. Aleksa also developed cloud and on-premise solutions for medical data analysis.

Prior to their research roles, Aleksa worked as a Software Developer at fleka, where they developed payment processors, API systems, and custom CMS for online banking services. Aleksa also supported the DevOps team in server provisioning and maintenance workflows. Aleksa started as a Junior Software Developer and continued working in parallel with their studies.

Additionally, they worked as a Software Development Intern and later as a Bootcamp Instructor at Amplitudo d.o.o., where they taught software engineering principles and web technologies. Aleksa also worked as a Software Developer at Talkini, primarily focusing on backend development and building REST APIs.

Aleksa Šuković completed their Bachelor's degree in Computing and Information Technologies from the University of Montenegro from 2016 to 2019. Aleksa then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Universität des Saarlandes starting from 2021 and is expected to graduate in 2023.
