Rita Langdon, Ph.D., serves as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Nassau Community College since August 2022. Previously, Rita held the position of Dean and Faculty at the Fundraising Academy from May 2019 to August 2022, and spent over two decades at Long Island University in various roles, including University Dean of the School of Professional Studies and Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Rita's early career included positions as Editor and Reporter at Anton Community Newspapers and as Chief News Writer and Director of Public Relations at Long Island University. Rita's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Information Studies and additional degrees in English and Journalism from Long Island University, along with a Train the Trainer certification in Fundraising. Rita is also actively engaged in volunteer work, having served as Vice President for Administration with the Brookville Park Foundation.
