Dr.comp.sc. (cyber-security) Bernhards B. is a highly experienced professional in the field of cyber security, currently serving as a Research Professor at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology since December 2022. Bernhards co-founded and serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Spektrs IO and has held the position of Lead Cyber Security Expert at CERT.LV since March 2012. Additionally, Bernhards is an Associate Professor at both Vidzemes Augstskola and Blekinge Institute of Technology, contributing to master's thesis supervision and research projects. Previous roles include researcher for the Open Cyber Range project at CR14, Cyber Operations Leader at x90, and Cyber Security Expert at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. Bernhards also has a solid educational background, holding a PhD in Cyber Security from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology and a Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Riga Technical University.
