John Hodgson

Associate Director, Center For Security Research And Education at Penn State University

John Hodgson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and military education. Currently serving as the Associate Director at the Center for Security Research and Education at Penn State University since January 2020, Hodgson also holds a position as a Research and Development Engineer at The Pennsylvania State University Applied Research Laboratory, a role maintained since 2010. Hodgson has contributed to military education as an Adjunct Professor at various esteemed institutions, including the U.S. Naval War College and the USAF Air War College, from 2009 to 2018. Previous roles include Program Manager for the Office of Military and Security Programs at Penn State University and FID Advisor for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. Hodgson's military background features leadership as a Company Commander in the 10th Mountain Division. Hodgson earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University and is an alumnus of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
