Shanshan Shanshan has a diverse work experience that includes positions at NanoString Technologies, Inc., the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California. At NanoString Technologies, they have held several roles, including Associate Director of Product Development, Senior Scientist in Research & Product Development, and Scientist II in Research & Product Development. Shanshan'swork at the University of California, Los Angeles involved a position as a Postdoctoral Scholar in IVD assay development. Shanshan also worked at the University of Southern California as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in CDx research.

Shanshan Shanshan holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedicine from Tongji University, which was completed from 2004 to 2012. During 2015 and 2016, they obtained a Certificate of Specialization in Genomic Data Science from The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, in 2014, Shanshan attended the University of Southern California to study Principles of Biostatistics. Currently, they are pursuing two areas of study: In Vitro Diagnostics Product Development at the University of California, San Diego (2022-2023) and Clinical Trials Operations Specialization at The Johns Hopkins University (2022-2023).
