Xujie Chen has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2010. From 2010 to 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Associate and Graduate Research Assistant at Florida State University. In 2015, they were an Engineering Manager and Board Member at Kaihang and also an Electrode Development Engineer at General Capacitor, where they oversaw electrode design, development and manufacturing, conducted material evaluation and analysis, and assisted in Li-ion capacitor and Li-ion hybrid capacitor pouch cell development and manufacturing. Since 2019, they have been a Senior Engineer at Nanoramic Laboratories.

Xujie Chen received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2005 and 2009. Xujie then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University from 2009 to 2011. Xujie concluded their educational pursuits with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University between 2012 and 2015.
