Paul Glass

Chief Technology Officer at nanoGriptech

Paul Glass has over a decade of experience in engineering and technology. From 2010 to present, they have worked at Setex Technologies, initially as Lead Research Engineer and then as VP Engineering and Business Unit Director, B2C Products. In their roles, they have managed sales, marketing, and engineering of Setex consumer products with partners around the world, and led the development and evaluation of gecko-inspired adhesive prototypes for over 20 customers. Paul also raised $1.9M in non-dilutive research funding from the NSF, NASA, and the DOD, and co-invented two filed patents. From 2005 to 2010, Paul worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where they conducted and defended their PhD dissertation work designing, fabricating, and evaluating biologically-inspired patterned adhesive materials for robust, reversible medical applications. Paul also collaborated with gastroenterologists to design, fabricate, and evaluate the performance of controllable swallowable capsules for improved disease diagnosis and therapy in the gastrointestinal tract.

Paul Glass attended Marianopolis College, then McGill University from 2000-2005 where they earned a B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering. Paul then attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2005-2010, where they earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
