Marcela Rodriguez has extensive work experience in the field of data science, research, and education.

From February 2017 to the present, they have been working as a Senior Data Scientist - Product Development at Nanalysis Corp.

Marcela's previous role was as a Researcher - Postdoctoral Scholar in Electrical Engineering at the University of Calgary from January 2016 to October 2017. During this time, they also worked as an Instructor for the Project Management for Engineering course from an unknown start date to June 2016. Additionally, they were a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Signal, Image and Video Processing and Data Analysis from September 2010 to December 2015. Marcela also served as a Sessional Instructor - Class Instructor - Laboratory Instructor during the same period.

Before joining the University of Calgary, Marcela worked at the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito as a Research Instructor Professor at the Electronics Engineering Department from January 2005 to August 2010.

Marcela Rodriguez obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they received a Master's degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes from 2005 to 2007. Marcela began their education by completing their undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in Management Fundamentals and New Manager Fundamentals from LinkedIn in October 2016.
