Phyllis Vermilyea is an experienced education professional currently serving as the District Positive Behavior Initiative Coordinator for Nampa School District since July 2008, where roles also include Behavior Consultant and Consulting Teacher, focusing on addressing student behavior and ensuring compliance with Special Education laws. Previously, Phyllis held positions such as Secondary Special Education Consulting Teacher for DCDT/Nampa School District from 2016 to 2017 and Adjunct Professor at California State University, Long Beach and California Baptist University from June 2014 to January 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as the District Full Inclusion Specialist at Pleasanton Unified School District, providing comprehensive support for students with severe disabilities and their educators. Phyllis Vermilyea earned a Master of Science in Special Education from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Northwest Nazarene University.
