Jayne Demsky is a dedicated advocate for mental health and education, serving as the Founder and CEO of the School Avoidance Alliance since January 2014, where the organization focuses on school avoidance education and evidence-based interventions. Demsky also contributes to the mental health community as a member of the Public Policy Committee for NAMI New Jersey, engaging with state legislators on relevant mental health legislation. In a volunteer capacity, Demsky chairs the Mahwah Stigma-Free Task Force for Mental Health, successfully launching a campaign for the town to declare itself a Stigma-Free zone. Previous experience includes a board position with NAMI of Bergen County, where efforts increased membership and social media presence, and various roles in business development and sales within the educational technology sector at organizations such as ContractorAssist, Blackboard, and Pearson Education. Demsky holds a BS in Marketing from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management.
