Maricruz Herrera-Cruz, CRSS, is an experienced mental health professional and educator currently serving as the Summit Living Room Manager at NAMI Metro Suburban since May 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing community outreach and collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, Maricruz holds a position as an Adjunct Professor for the CRSS Success Program at the Illinois Institute of Technology and contributes to the Peer Advisory Board for the Certified Recovery Support Specialist Certificate Program. A multimedia designer, Maricruz creates digital content for mental health organizations and has a rich background in mental health support roles, including Lead Mental Health Specialist at Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital. Maricruz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Production, with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from Manhattanville University.
