Tuan T. Pham

DevOps Engineer at NALEJ

Tuan T. Pham has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tuan T. started their career as a Manure Spotter at Horse Manure Central in 2009 before transitioning to become an Embedded Software Engineer at DRT in 2010. At DRT, they focused on merging SVN branches, debugging software for Inmarsat and EVDO radio formats, and designing and implementing unit tests for C++ code using Ruby. In 2011, Tuan joined Adobe Systems as a Software Engineer, where they worked on Adobe Insight (later known as Adobe Data Workbench). Their responsibilities included debugging, fixing, and supporting legacy shared libraries on Linux and AIX platforms.

From 2012 to 2013, Tuan worked as a Software Developer at Dell, specifically on the software AppAssure (later known as Rapid Recovery). In this role, they optimized code related to ext3/4 filesystem bitmap, wrote unit tests in userspace, debugged and fixed memory corruption bugs in a Linux kernel module, and provided customized vagrant boxes to test and support different customer environment setups.

In 2014, Tuan worked as a self-employed "Random idea advocateur" and embarked on a self-supported bicycle journey from Blacksburg, Virginia to Florence, Oregon. Tuan T. completed this journey in 74 days. Additionally, in 2017, they undertook another bicycle journey from Blacksburg, Virginia to Yorktown, Virginia and back in 9 days.

Tuan then transitioned to Apogee Research, LLC in 2015, where they served as a Senior Research Engineer. In this role, they provided support for DARPA PlanX and CFAR program as needed by the company.

Starting in 2017 and lasting until 2021, Tuan worked for himself as a Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included writing Ansible roles and playbooks, writing Logstash configs, designing Grafana and Kibana dashboards, deploying and configuring ELK stack, and dockerizing microservices.

Most recently, Tuan joined GreenflySAU in 2021 as a Senior DevOps Staff Member. In this role, they focused on various DevOps tasks and responsibilities. Currently, Tuan is employed at NALEJ /knowledge/ Corporation as a DevOps Engineer, starting in 2023.

Tuan T. Pham attended Virginia Tech from 1999 to 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
