Bonnie Schendell

Business Development Operations Manager at NAIOP

Bonnie Schendell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bonnie held the role of Business Development Operations Manager at NAIOP from January 2020 onwards. Prior to this, they served as the Business Development Coordinator at NAIOP from August 2015 to December 2019, where they supported the Business Development team in sponsorship, exhibit, and advertising sales opportunities.

Before their time at NAIOP, Bonnie worked as an Executive Staff/Partner at Labor of Love Job - SmoothViews.com, a monthly internet magazine focused on Smooth Jazz. Bonnie played a key role in presenting a multifaceted view of Smooth Jazz by showcasing live shows and deep tracks from Smooth Jazz CDs. From September 2007 to March 2015, Bonnie worked at the International Test & Evaluation Association, where they served as the Manager of Chapters & Individual Membership. Bonnie handled duties such as invoicing and processing of dues renewals, coordinated chapter meetings, administered chapter articles for publications, and provided membership reports. Additionally, they contributed to a database conversion and acted as a staff database trainer.

In their career, Bonnie also worked as a Membership Coordinator at the Northern VA Association of Realtors from June 2004 to September 2007. Bonnie was responsible for membership-related tasks during their tenure.

Prior to this, they worked as a Membership Manager at the National Automobile Dealers Association from January 1994 to April 1999. In this role, Bonnie supervised a team of six staff and oversaw new and renewing memberships, as well as membership programs such as the chain dealer program and group dealer program. Bonnie also managed the membership booth at the association's annual conference/trade show.

Bonnie's earliest role was as a Registrar at The Chief Executives Organization, where they were responsible for registrations and hotel bookings for conferences with 200-500 attendees. Their tenure at this organization lasted from February 1990 until December 1993.

Bonnie Schendell completed their education between 1982 and 1985 at Middlesex College. Bonnie obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Marketing during this time.
