Marcus Lamont has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Marcus began their career as a Human Resource Manager for UPS in 1998, overseeing operations in Australia and New Zealand. From 2005 to 2007, they served as a Human Resources Integration Manager for United Parcel Service, where they were responsible for integrating Lynx Express into the company. Lamont then joined Everest Limited in 2007 as an HR Director, playing a pivotal role in the company's financial and cultural turnaround. In 2016, they joined NAHL Group plc as the Group People Director, focusing on recruitment, employee engagement, and training and development programs across five companies. Marcus also volunteered as a mentor at the University of Hertfordshire in 2016.
Marcus Lamont attended Pimlico High School from 1980 to 1985 and obtained their Senior School Certificate. From 1994 to 1997, they pursued a Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services at TAFE College North Sydney. Marcus later enrolled at Southern Cross University from 1998 to 2000 and earned a degree in Social Science with a focus on Human Resource Development.
