Rodolfo J. Oviedo, MD, FACS, FASMBS, FICS, DABS-FPDMBS, currently serves as Medical Director of the Robotics Program and Medical Director of Bariatric Surgical Services at Nacogdoches Medical Center since August 2023. Simultaneously, Rodolfo holds the position of Clinical Professor at both Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine and SHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, Rodolfo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Robotic Global Surgical Society and has served as Deputy Editor for the Journal of Robotic Surgery and an Editorial Board Member for Obesity Surgery since 2021. Previous positions include Clinical Associate Professor at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Texas A&M University, along with various leadership roles at Houston Methodist. Rodolfo earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Health San Antonio in 2007.
