Hal Bouknight has a long and varied work experience, beginning with Fluor Corporation in 1986 where they held the role of Senior Vice President. In 2009, they moved to Willbros Group Inc. as Vice President of Corporate Accounts. In 2011, they joined Kvaerner Americas Inc. as Senior Vice President of Business Development, and also took on the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development at IHI E&C International Corporation. In 2017, they became President of Global Project Solutions and Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Engineering at Nacero, an energy company building a future in cleaner gasoline from natural gas.

Hal Bouknight obtained their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University between 1970 and 1974. Hal then went on to earn their Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies between 1977 and 1981.
