Markku Toivonen is an experienced town planner and architect currently holding dual positions as Town Planner Architect and City Planning Architect at Naantalin kaupunki and the City of Naantali, respectively, since March 2022. Prior to these roles, Markku served as a Kaavoitusarkkitehti at Naantalin kaupunki from February 2019 to September 2019 and spent over three decades at the City of Turku, where Markku held the position of Director of Environmental and City Planning from May 1984 to September 2017. Markku Toivonen completed educational studies at the University of Oulu.
