Luis J. Suau serves as the ADA & Community Engagement Coordinator at the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission since June 2021. Prior to this role, Luis held the position of Associate Professor and Program Coordinator at Shaw University from August 2010 to May 2021, and was the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Program Coordinator for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government from April 2019 to December 2019. Luis also gained experience as a Research Associate at North Carolina State University from August 2008 to August 2010. Luis holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism and a Master of Forestry from the University of Florida, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Sciences from Interamerican University of P.R.
