Steve Jang has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steve worked as a Software Engineer at MyVest starting in 2019. Prior to that, they served as an Academic Intern/Lab Assistant at UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from June to December 2018, where they mentored students, conducted quizzes, and provided feedback. In November 2018, Steve participated in Cal Hacks and won 1st place in the Cisco API challenge, where they developed a seat detection system and trained a chatbot. From January to November 2018, they were a part of the Software Engineer Committee at KSEA, teaching version control and developing a Python-based smart mirror. In 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Consulate General of Korea, researching and classifying schools offering Korean language classes. Steve also has experience as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician at the Conscripted Firefighters Agency, where they extinguished fires, performed rescues, and provided emergency medical services from March 2013 to February 2015.

Steve Jang attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2017 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
