Melanie Wiesenthal is a highly experienced creative director and design consultant. Melanie has worked in the design industry since 2004, when they started their own freelance design business. In 2009, they began working at Victoria's Secret as the Director of Creative 3D, where they were responsible for the design of giftable beauty packaging and fragrance. Melanie then moved to Parsons the New School for Design in 2003, where they worked as an Adjunct Professor teaching classes in graphic design, typography and intermediate graphic design. In 2011, they joined the AIGA NY Board of Directors and Education Chair, where they were responsible for providing inspiration, community and education. In 2012, they began working as a Lecturer and Instructor at the School of Visual Arts, and in 2013 they co-founded Studio Deerfield and Deerfield, where they served as the Creative Director. In 2017, they became the Creative Director at Myro, where they worked as a consultant and part owner to deliver obsession worthy deodorant to optimistic humans.
Melanie Wiesenthal's education history includes a Certificate from General Assembly in UX/UI obtained in 2022-2023, an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS in Graphic Design from Parsons School of Design - The New School in 1997-1998, a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters, English, and English Language and Literature, Drama and Theatre from McGill University in 1993-1997, and attendance at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute.
