Lior Weissman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lior began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University in 1996 and held this position until 2004. In 2004, they joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a Postdoctoral Fellow, a role they held until 2008.
In 2008, Lior joined Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson Company, as a Project Manager in R&D. Lior later progressed to the role of Principal Scientist, where they led the development of innovative biopharmaceutical products, analytical test methods, and manufacturing processes. Lior also supported regulatory filings to FDA and EMA, and led a multidisciplinary group of scientists and cross-functional global project teams. In 2016, they became a Senior Principal Scientist, serving until 2017.
Lior then joined Mitoconix Bio Ltd. in 2017 as a VP of R&D, where they contributed their expertise until 2019. In 2019, they moved to Mybiotics Pharma LTD, assuming the position of VP of R&D, a role in which they are currently engaged.
Throughout their career, Lior Weissman has acquired extensive experience in various research and development roles, demonstrating their capability to lead projects, develop pharmaceutical products, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Lior Weissman obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology from the University of Miami between the years 1992 and 1995. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry at Tel Aviv University from 1996 to 1998. Subsequently, Lior continued their education at Tel Aviv University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry between 1998 and 2004.
