James Turnage Jr has over 20 years of experience in the mental health and disability services sector, currently serving as the Clinical Director of Disability Services at MHMR of Tarrant County since April 2005. In this role, James leads a multidisciplinary program focusing on trauma-informed services for crime victims with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while also facilitating professional development and community trainings. Previous positions include Director of Child and Adolescent Services, where James managed community-based behavioral health services, and Team Leader roles at Metrocare Services and Austin Travis County MHMR. James holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and has extensive experience in case management, supervision, and curriculum development in mental health settings.
