Dr. Girish Rao has a diverse work experience in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr Girish is currently serving as the Executive Director at Global Dental Academy - GDA. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as a Director at MyDentalPlan Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Dr Girish has also held leadership positions such as President at the South Asian Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Implantology and Honorary General Secretary at the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.

Dr. Rao's academic and clinical experience includes roles such as Professor & Head of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Trustwell Hospitals. Dr Girish has also worked as a Professor & Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research Center, where they head the Oral Cancer Department and is involved in advanced procedures and techniques.

Furthermore, Dr. Rao is the Director of Mukha Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center, specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery. Dr Girish has a strong educational background, holding fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland. Additionally, they have served as a Professor & Head at RV Dental College & Hospital and worked as a Visiting Specialist Registrar at the Royal London Hospital.

Dr. Girish Rao obtained a Bachelor of Dentistry degree from Govt. Dental College in Bangalore in 1987. Dr Girish then pursued a BDS degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Government Dental College, Bangalore, from 1983 to 1988. From 1989 to 1991, Dr. Rao attended Madras Dental College, where they earned their MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. In 1995, they obtained a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeon of England and a Fellowship in Royal College of Surgeon of Ireland in the same year, specializing in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
