Melissa Budak has over 30 years of work experience. Melissa began their career in 1991 as a Public Relations Specialist at Holy Family Medical Center. In 1993, they became a Copywriter at Decision Maker Media. From 1996 to 1999, they worked as a Marketing Communications Specialist at First Health. During this time, they managed communication of corporate acquisitions and name changes to employee audiences, employee benefit communications, employee focus group research, employee newsletters, pre- and post-enrollment materials, brochures, position papers, client newsletters, and sales collateral materials. In 1999, they became a Marketing Manager at Summit Medical Management Services, where they were responsible for the marketing plan and budget for a 40-physician primary care group practice. From 2000 to 2012, Melissa worked as an Employee Communications Specialist at CCC Information Services, where they redesigned the corporate intranet site, designed and implemented a semi-weekly electronic employee newsletter, instituted quarterly all-employee meetings, and instituted monthly roundtable meetings. From 2012 to 2016, they were an Account Manager at Steadfast.net, where they led the existing customer base for an IaaS provider and achieved 300% of quota in 2016 and 125% in 2017. From 2016 to 2018, Melissa was a Marketing Communications Specialist at Liturgy Training Publications, where they were part of a three-person team responsible for a full-scale marketing strategy. Finally, in 2021, they began working as an Account Manager at MXOtech, Inc.

Melissa Budak holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Loras College. Melissa has obtained additional certifications including CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Certification from CompTIA in June 2022, Learning HubSpot CRM from LinkedIn in February 2021, Selling and Marketing Your Products on Amazon from LinkedIn in February 2021, Content Marketing Foundations from LinkedIn in October 2020, and Google Analytics Essential Training from LinkedIn in October 2020.
