David Barton's work experience demonstrates a strong background in digital and health communications. David began their career at Mason Onofrio Public Relations as an Account Coordinator in 2006 and later worked at Mayr Communications as an Account Executive from 2007 to 2009.
Barton then joined Edelman, where they held various positions such as Account Executive from 2009 to 2010 and Senior Account Executive from 2011 to 2012.
David joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies in 2012 as an Account Supervisor, where they managed communications activities and client budgets.
In 2013, Barton returned to Edelman as an Account Supervisor, later moving up to Vice President and then Senior Vice President. During their time at Edelman, they led the Health practice's digital team and grew the team from two people to nearly 20 employees. David worked closely with leading health organizations and focused on digital strategy and execution within the health sector.
Barton also had experience as a Blogger/Editor for their own blog, Barton's Bites, from 2011 to 2018.
In 2022, Barton joined Salutem, a Daniel J. Edelman Company, as a Senior Vice President, Head of Digital & Social Strategy. David led Salutem's digital team, focusing on overarching digital strategy, content and creative strategy, community management, web development, paid search, executive visibility, and influencer engagement.
Currently, Barton is Senior Vice President, Health Digital Lead at Mustache, where they lead the health digital team, building a team of nimble, creative, hybrid digital strategists.
David Barton attended Marist College from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, focusing their studies on Communications and Business Management.
