Jim Tope has extensive experience in the museum and insurance sectors, currently serving as a Gallery Guide at the Musical Instrument Museum since February 2011. In this role, Jim Tope assists guests to enhance their visit and provides detailed explanations of museum items while leading demonstrations of the Decap Appolonia Dance Organ. Prior to this position, Jim Tope worked as a Commercial Lines Underwriter at Colonial General Insurance Agency from November 2001 to October 2010, where responsibilities included pricing and assessing excess and special risk property and casualty submissions. Jim Tope graduated from Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, AZ, from 1953 to 1957, and holds the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor with a strong emphasis on mathematics and science.
