Jazmyn Thomas is an experienced professional in event management and operations, currently serving as the Parks Superintendent for the City of Gary since October 2022. Prior to this role, Jazmyn worked as an Event Manager at Valparaiso University, overseeing event scheduling and facility rentals from July 2021 to July 2022. Additional experience includes serving as an Event Manager for the IUPUI Black Faculty and Staff Council from August 2017 to February 2020, where Jazmyn facilitated various university events, and at Community Solutions, managing vendor negotiations and promotional activities for significant initiatives. Early career experience includes a server position at Olive Garden. Jazmyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism Conventions and Event Management from Indiana University Indianapolis, complemented by a certificate from the Kelley School of Business.
