Ethan Lasser

Head Of Exhibition Strategy at The MFA

Ethan Lasser has a strong background in the art world, with experience in various prestigious institutions. Ethan started their career as a Curator at THE CHIPSTONE FOUNDATION in 2007 and worked there until 2012. Ethan then joined the Harvard Art Museums, where they held the positions of Theodore E. Stebbins Jr. Curator of American Art from 2012 to 2019 and Head of the Division of European and American Art from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, they moved on to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, taking on the role of John Moors Cabot Chair of the Art of the Americas, which they still hold. Additionally, they recently became the Head of Exhibition Strategy at the Museum of Fine Arts starting in September 2023. Ethan's most recent achievement is their appointment to the Committee for the Preservation of the White House, a position they started in April 2023.

Ethan Lasser earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art history from Williams College in 1999. Ethan later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in History of Art at Yale University from 2001 to 2007.
