Samuel Yang has a diverse range of work experience in the arts and culture sector. Samuel began their career as a Gallery Intern at A.P.E. Ltd. Gallery, where they managed the gallery and initiated sales and commissions. Samuel then worked as a Summer Studio Assistant for photographers Elaine Mayes and Keliy Anderson-Staley, where they organized, documented, and archived their work.
In 2017, Samuel interned at Pomona College's Queer Resource Center, where they digitized physical archives and created an alumni email list. Samuel also gained experience as an Archival and Media Intern at Amherst Media, where they archived videotapes and worked behind the scenes for a public access television station.
Samuel's passion for the arts led him to roles such as a Gallery Attendant at MOCA, where they engaged visitors and created a welcoming environment. Samuel also worked as a Performing Arts Administrator and Administrative Assistant at Art Share Los Angeles Inc, managing accounting, bookkeeping, and the performing arts department.

Samuel Yang first attended Sarah Lawrence College from 2014 to 2016, where they studied Art History, Criticism, and Conservation. Samuel then transferred to Hampshire College, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Photography and Art History from 2016 to 2018.
